In Feb of 2004 the RX-8 Tri State Club was formed. A venue by the name of Core Creek Park in Langhorne PA was the place for our first meet, with only just 4 RX-8's. The club gained much popularity throughout the year and had meets arranged every other month until summer of 2005. Our meets were mainly arranged in NJ and PA with some growth in NY, however due to communications and direction it was dificult to extend the club further north, we however had some excellent success with Mazda Rev It Up, Clinic Demos, Mazda days at local dealerships, and of course not to forget our summer picnics and summer drives.
The club however took a break from May 2005 onwards and since then only met on a few occasions. Our club requires 110% support from its members, volunteers (directors) and funds for our site/meets. This was not the case, so we decided to keep our webpage running and our member list active with no renewals (until further notice) for spring 2006. A non profit club such as ours, was designed purely for the passion of the RX-8. Its our members who make the club, and with must clubs we try to make sure that everyone has some kind of participation!
In 2006 we hope to start up our meets once again, but we instead will be meeting once every 3 or so months. We continue our passion for the RX-8 and hope you all will too!
