".... meeting at the Artillery Park parking lot. (I don't know if it is actually called the "Artillery Park"), but it is where the line of cannon are kept. The parking lot has about four or five picnic tables, a bathroom, a nice view and a lawn to spread out blankets on. The tables are under trees to protect people from the sun, and they are right next to the parking lot. It is a good sized parking lot, and it was not too crowded . The lots in the park are often very crowded so I was looking for something just a little bit off the beaten track."
Similar to the last meet, and weather dependant, it may be a good idea to take along snacks. Picnic tables are available, and people should be encouraged to bring blankets in case the tables are taken. There is plenty of room spread out!."
After the meet a good option for those interested, is to take a ride out towards King of Prussia Mall and surrounding restaurants. The Mall is close, and restaurants are highly rated!
Directions to the parking lot:
- Coming from West I-76 (The Schykill Expressway).
- Exit I-76 at exit 328A (202 South/ West Chester) Staying in the left lane of the exit following it onto 202 South.
- Follow 202 South to the first exit (about a mile) 252 North Valley Forge Road. Get off at that Exit.
- Go to the light at the end of the ramp, and turn right onto 252 North.
- Go straight on 252 North, which will take you across the Turnpike into Valley Forge Park.
- Follow this road around the park. It will bear left at a "Do Not Enter" sign, and it will bear right at a "stop Sign" next to the covered bridge. Just keep following the road around until it it T's at a Stop Light at route 23.
- Turn Right at the Stop Light.
- Follow the road up the hill. When the Road bears left, CONTINUE STRAIGHT up the hill.
- The Entrance to the Parking lot is the Second road that you will pass on the Right.
- Turn Right into the second road, and the Parking Lot will be on your left about 200 yards ahead.
From 202 North (Coming from West chester area):
Exit 202 North at the Valley Forge Road exit in Devon (this exit is just passed the Chesterbrook exit).
At the bottom of the ramp, you cannot turn left directly towards the park.
Turn Right and Go through the stop light.
Do a U Turn in the bank, and come back up Route 252 under the two overpasses.
You will see a Mobil station on your right after the overpasses and just continue straight on Route 252 over the turnpike and into the park.
Follow the instructions as above.

Dependant on weather, it will be the clubs first summer meet. We hope to see you there! Relax, have fun, and most importantly get to know new folks and their RX-8s. As normal, club stickers, t-shirts, decals will be available to purchase! Open also for discussion are spots for future meets and events!
